Ruben Hernandez
"SUPERMAN"
The Trumpet is the king of all brass instruments; that is no doubt why Ruben Hernandez elected to play this regal instrument. Be prepared to bow down! Ruben is truly a king of South Texas trumpet. I first met him in 1998 when he was playing with Kingsville's Mariachi Del Rey. Ruben is just as at home on the guitar as he is on the trumpet.

Ruben is the ultimate entertainer and is dedicated to the crowd. He plays the piano, guitar, vihuela, most brass instruments, maracas, the marimba, the accodrian and the triangle. He atributes his musical influences to Ruben Ramos, Little Joe, Boyz II Men, Areosmith and the music of the 1950's and 1960's. He likes everything by Ruben Ramos and Little Joe. This favorite songs include"Down on Bended knees" by Boyz II Men and "I don't want to miss a Thing" by Areosmith.

Ruben brings a staunch style to the Carrales Showband horn section that causes a stir with any crowd that hears the the showband's unique style.
